Title: Business Analyst - Projects and Acquisitions

Location: O’Fallon
Duration: 12 months

Overview:

• Identity Access Management teams are responsible for end to end providing services to support internal employees and external customers capabilities to retrieve physical and logical access to Mastercard systems and applications.
• The Identity Access Governance team within Corporate Security is laser focused on automating access using behavior analytics tools, executing on access strategy to be an enabler to the business, while creating and fostering a robust security controls environment.
• The purpose of this job is to support the access requirements of new projects along with mergers and acquisitions. This will involve obtaining requirements, serving as point of contact for the project team and the department, communicating processes, procedures, standards, and policies, as well as managing implementation timelines.
• The position would additionally be responsible for creating and managing changes for the team, including gathering required information (potential impact, appropriate procedures, back-out plan, etc.) ensuring all approvals are obtained, and answering questions related to the change impact.

Role:

• Responsible for being the primary point of contact for day to day access requirements related to projects and acquisitions.
•Meeting with project/acquisition teams and understanding their access requirements to communicate back to the Security Operations team. Additionally responsible for understanding, and communicating Security Operations processes, procedures, requirements, standards, and restrictions back to the project/acquisition teams.
•Develop and present timelines related to project/acquisition initiatives, manage and monitor approved timelines to ensure timely completion of tasks. Provide reporting and status updates related to approved timelines.
•Ensure compliance with documented processes and evaluate if access is designed appropriately.
•Additional non-project related activities can also include the following:
• Manage & support various access related reviews, include annual certifications/reviews, transfer reviews, privileged access reviews.
•Evaluate the integrity of access management data, including role descriptions, and ownership of information security resources. Work with internal users to update the data and provide feedback.
• Communicate with a large population of users, track correspondence and associated deadlines to ensure timely responses and complete requests from external departments.
• Provide oversight, advisory and consultative services to users, application teams and departments around access management.
• Participate on project teams helping new applications design access, explain and provide training/awareness on access management processes and tools, etc.


All About You:

• Basic skills in Information Security
• Basic strategic thoughtful risk taking experience
• Basic analytical skills working with large amounts of data and identifying outliers
• Beginner knowledge in regulatory compliance (PCI, GLBA, SOX)
• Beginner to intermediate technical background (Windows, UNIX, databases) and basic network fundamentals
• Strong demonstration of organization, problem solving, and communication skills
• Basic knowledge of user behavior analytics systems is a plus
• Experience with an identity and access management tool is a plus.

• This would include automating access using behavior analytics & governance tools, understanding of end to end provisioning of access across enterprise platforms, and innovating techniques to use and communicate data in new and more effective ways to influencing how access should be granted to users.
• The position would additionally be responsible for creating and managing changes for the team, including gathering required information (potential impact, appropriate procedures, back-out plan, etc.) ensuring all approvals are obtained, and answering questions related to the change impact.

Role

• Identify control gaps with identity access management processes and systems globally, provide recommendations, and track to completion, as directed
• Lead internal efforts for requirements to production implementation of enhancements of existing Identity Access Governance system
• Identifies automation opportunities to deliver smarter and easier identity access management services to support “access as an enabler” strategy
• Complies with documented processes and provide feedback for improvements
• Lead and support all annual certification & governance reviews (such as transfers)
• Leads voice of the customer efforts to understand the business needs from regional business leaders for continuous improvement
• Partners with Business Operations team on technology enhancements to access governance & behavior analytics systems
• Coaches junior level employees on access management and security best practices
• Partners with other peers in the Identity Access Management organization to ensure governance processes are in place, enabling access to the business with least privileges
• Researches new methodologies to improve security within the identity access management space

• Intermediate analytical skills working with large amounts of data and identifying outliers
• Intermediate skills of user behavior analytics systems (such as Red Owl, Gurucul, Securonix)
• Intermediate skills of identity access management pillars such as, but not limited to roles, entitlements, access certifications, and segregation of duties rules
• Beginner to Intermediate experience in regulatory compliance (PCI, GLBA, SOX)
• Intermediate technical background (Windows, UNIX, databases) and basic network fundamentals
• Intermediate skills in provisioning to platforms (Windows, UNIX, Mainframe, databases)
• Excellent organization, problem solving, and communication skills
