Ecommerce Product Owner - Director

The Ecommerce Product Owner - Director is responsible for driving the product definition online properties. The role will manage a small team of individuals, partner closely with 3rd party systems integrator and solution partners and be responsible for the ecommerce platform throughout its software lifecycle, executing the product vision, ensuring revenue, customer satisfaction and the company's overall strategy and goals are met. Reports to the VP of Digital Commerce.

Define the E-commerce platform product roadmap and deliver prioritized features and corresponding business justification

Act as business owner and product owner on large-scale ecommerce development projects (site redesign, loyalty program launch) as well as ongoing features and functionality planning and implementation

Work with external third parties to integrate technologies in an Agile model

Define processes, train and mentor individual contributors and partners

Act as a digital commerce business leader within the company

Maintain and manage business requests, backlog, Jira board, prioritization, optimization, partnering with our integration team

Represent the business needs and requirements to drive feature implementation & development through collaboration with business stakeholders, 3rd party partners, UX and IT delivery teams

Maintain a prioritized feature backlog based on business value ROI, alignment with product strategy, and resource capacity

In partnership with internal and external digital commerce team, clearly define user stories and acceptance criteria. Review and approve large requirements (epics) and smaller requirements (stories) based on feature strategy.

Build and leverage solid working relationships with business and product stakeholders to facilitate successful feature implementation.

Use of tracking tools for product backlog and project management (e.g. Jira).

Understand and champion business needs, strategic intent, use cases and customer experience to integrate into user requirements and make key decisions during development.

Understand development team abilities and capacity to aid in resource planning.

Understand value, complexity, and timelines to make decisions about priorities.

Enhance the customer experience by synthesizing and applying product, consumer and customer satisfaction data, analytics and insights.

Drive the business forward by applying multi-functional subject matter expertise to facilitate continuous improvement and innovation.

Manage relationships between internal and external parties, including agencies and vendors for specified initiatives.

Understand key metrics to recommend a course of action and manage through to realization.

Business owner and manager of product backlog, understanding the Scrubs & Beyond digital roadmap and how work aligns with overall enterprise alignment to ensure efficient workflow.

Establishes and maintains strong relationships externally and internally with IT, UX, analytics & insights and business stakeholders in order to make effective business decisions.

Serves as a liaison to business stakeholders by providing transparency within the digital commerce development cycle.

Embraces the concept of continuous iteration, customer insights, and performance KPIs to shape future development cycles.

Focuses others’ time and efforts on projects that are critical to the business unit’s success.

Serves as a mentor to individual contributors and peers.

Organizes resources and information to accomplish organizational goals

Plans against opportunities and risks to complete tasks, projects, and higher objectives while ensuring quality results.

Communicates and presents information clearly and concisely to make recommendations, drive projects forward and share results.

Bachelor’s Degree

6+ years of experience in ecommerce, digital channels and retail

3+ years experience in 2 or more of the following: product owner, product management, business analysis, project management

3+ years demonstrated success leading and partnering with cross-functional peers, vendors and multiple stakeholder groups

3+ years managing direct reports to high performance

Demonstrated success working across channels

Experience working in an Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall Methodology

Knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Power Point and Word

Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of ecommerce operations or marketing with solid understanding of the creative elements, advertising, marketing, brand positioning and business development

Experience translating business strategy into specific product features

Experience in product design and/or product management

Experience in the basics of full-lifecycle customer marketing and management of related technologies

Previous experience with Magento and integration of enhanced feature solutions (e.g. site search, loyalty) to enhance the user experience

Role is in our home office in St. Louis, MO. Relocation is available for qualified candidate.
