Job Description:
• Oracle EBS Developer
Principle Responsibilities:
30%: Under general direction, develops detailed specification for which applications will be written. Analyze and evaluates existing or proposed systems; Guides and publishes best practices for troubleshooting, analysis, and related procedures.
30%: Provides concise information in response to client inquiries. Works effectively with client team members, is sensitive to the client's environment, gains respect of the client team, and is responsive to client requests. Heavy interaction with the client thorough the project life cycle. May involve presentations to the client on complex systems.
20%: Ability to communicate program solutions and works with large teams across multiple work groups. May mentor less experienced developers, build skill sets based on assignments, and actively participate in solution design. Act in liaison capacity with other departments and project teams to ensure process consistency across the organization.
20%: Provides functional and concise information to management and team in the design, development, and implementation of business applications. May lead development teams on various size projects to improve applications and outline solutions. Facilitates problem-solving sessions with associates, clients, support staff in order to generate process improvements, best practices, critical product solutions and roadmaps. Uses interviews to probe key issues; is insightful in seeing and addressing issues; drawing problem solving and client implications. Serves as the subject matter expert for the BU technology and products. Prepares program solutions and presents solutions to upper management and promotes adoption of best practices.
Technical Skills Needed:
o Strong technical experience and foundational knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite 11i or R12. Candidates with R12 experience will be considered first.
o Strong functional knowledge in Financial Functional modules: GL, AP, AR, PO, iProc. Along with Project Accounting, Inventory, Cash Management, Fixed Assets
o Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports a must have.
o Ability to demonstrate basic understanding of intercompany transaction flow, accounting and balancing entries
o Expertise in mapping the business requirements into technical requirements.
o Expertise in the functional setups.
o Must be able to translate current state accounting requirements to features / functions of EBS.
o Technical Writing Skills and experience with Oracle EBS documentation templates: AIM BP (Business requirements gathering, including current process and future process), BR (GAP and FIT analysis, Application Setup document), CV (Conversion Strategy/Design, Data Mapping, Conversion Test and Validation Plan) MD (Functional Customization Design), PM (Transition Strategy), RD (Process Questionnaire), TA (Architecture Requirements, Application Access), TE (Test Scripts)
o Analysis Skills: GAP and FIT analysis, conversion analysis, reporting analysis
Nice To Have Skills:
o XML Gateway
o Oracle Application Express (Oracle APEX)
o Building process flow documents for Business requirement discussions
o Experience with RPA tools such as UIPath, Blueprism, ect.
o Experience with OBIEE, BICs or other BI Platforms
o Experience with Vertex, Concur, Salesfore, Adaptive, Blackline or Workday
General Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree required
o 10+ years of experience within a technology related field
o 5-7+ years in Oracle Financials development
o Strong leadership and presentation skills
o Plans, conducts, and may supervise assignments
o May create or recommend changes in procedures
o Works with wide latitude for non-reviewed action or decision
o Possesses an advanced level of knowledge and applies it to complex problems
o Strong desire to work with both technical and business team members to understand the overall needs and then deliver creative and Innovative solutions
o Ability to communicate and listen effectively with all levels of the organization
